how to delete your account

open maybs, go to your profile, and tap delete account. that deletes it right away — there is no waiting period, and no way to get it back afterwards.

if you can’t get into the app for any reason, email us at appmaybs@gmail.com from the address on your account and we’ll do it for you within 30 days.

what gets deleted

immediately and permanently:

• your profile (name, email, username, zip code)
• your rsvp history
• friend connections
• group memberships
• your hype comments and event activity
• push notification subscriptions
• uploaded images, including your avatar

what happens to events you created

events and groups you made are not deleted. your name comes off them — they show as created by a deleted user — and they stay visible to the people who could already see them.

this is deliberate. deleting your account shouldn’t delete a plan other people already said they were going to, or take down photos they uploaded themselves. nothing about you stays attached to those events.

what we keep

after deletion, we may retain anonymized, aggregated data (like total event counts) that cannot be linked back to you. we do not retain any personally identifiable information.
