how maybs works, and how to reach us
get in touch
something broken, a question, or a request to delete your account — email appmaybs@gmail.com and we’ll get back to you.
it’s a small team, so it’s a real person reading it.
what is maybs?
maybs is a place for loose plans. share events, see what your friends are into, and turn “we should do this” into “we’re doing this.”
what does “maybs” mean?
it’s the default rsvp — you’re interested but not committing yet. no pressure. if enough people say maybs, plans start to feel real.
what do the rsvp options mean?
maybs means you’re interested, not committed. for sure means you’re going. nah means it’s not for you — no judgment.
how do i add an event?
two ways. tap the + button in the app and describe the plan — paste a link and maybs pulls out the details for you.
or, from anywhere on your phone — instagram, tiktok, a ticket page, safari — hit the share button and pick maybs. the event gets created without you leaving what you were doing.
what are homies?
homies are your friends on maybs. you only see events from your homies — no strangers, no algorithms. add them by searching their username, or by sharing your invite link.
what are groups?
groups are your crews — your group chats, roommates, work friends. create a group, add homies, and filter your feed to see just that crew’s events.
what’s the what’s up tab?
it’s your review feed. new events from your homies show up there first, one card at a time, so you can answer them before they pile up.
what’s the hype feed?
it shows activity on events you care about — who just rsvp’d, new comments, people joining. it’s how you feel the momentum building.
how do i invite friends?
go to your profile and share your invite link. when someone taps it and signs up, you’re automatically homies.
who can see my events?
only your homies, and only the ones you choose. when you post an event you pick who it goes to — everyone in your homies, specific people or groups, or just you. nothing on maybs is public.
how do notifications work?
maybs notifies you when something is aimed at you: a homie request, someone accepting yours, a group invite, being tagged or having an event shared directly with you, and activity on events you’re on.
you’ll also get a heads-up about your own plans — what you have on today, and what’s coming up at the weekend.
a homie posting an event for everyone does not notify you. that would be constant. those land in your what’s up tab instead.
can i edit or delete an event?
yes — open any event you created and tap edit.
how do i delete my account?
go to your profile and tap delete account. it happens immediately and cannot be undone. see the data deletion page for exactly what is removed and what happens to events you created.
how do i sign in?
with apple or with google. there’s no password to forget — maybs never stores one.
