what maybs is

maybs is a social app for making plans with your friends. we help you turn “we should do this” into “we’re doing this.”

what we collect

• account info: email, name, username, zip code
• events you create: titles, dates, locations, descriptions, images
• rsvp status on events (maybs, for sure, nah)
• friend connections (homies list)
• group memberships
• push notification subscriptions

how we use it

• to show you events from your friends
• to send you push notifications about events
• to parse event details from links you share into the app
• to find relevant images for events (via unsplash)

we don’t sell your data. we don’t run ads. we don’t track you across the web.

third-party services

• supabase — database, auth, and file storage
• anthropic (claude) — ai parsing of event details from shared links and images
• unsplash — event cover images
• instagram oembed api — parsing shared instagram posts
• vercel — hosting and analytics
• sentry — error monitoring

data retention

we keep your data as long as your account is active. you can delete your account from your profile in the app, and it happens immediately — your profile, rsvps, homies, group memberships, comments, uploaded images, and push subscriptions are all removed for good.

events and groups you created are the one exception: they stay, with your name taken off them, so other people keep the plans they already rsvp’d to. see our data deletion page for the full picture.

you can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it entirely. see our data deletion page for details.
